The Little Zealous Hater

I met a zealous hater
We travelled on a train
And as he spoke
It was clear to folk
He didn’t have a brain !

The little zealous hater
He spoke in uncouth speech
Told racist jokes
Just to coax
The moderate ones to screech

I hate the zealous hater
Purveyor of a terror
But could it be
The one I see
Each morning in the mirror ?
